Simmons sits, Sixers fall in OT
Philadelphia suffered a 133-132 defeat Tuesday night at Detroit as Ben Simmons did not play with a neck injury. Simmons is questionable for tonight. The Sixers were outscored 33-26 in the fourth quarter to push the game to OT, while the game-winner was scored by Blake Griffin as his bucket plus the free throw with 1.8 seconds left in the extra session sent Philly to the loss. Griffin ended with a career-high 50 points. Joel Embiid paced the 76ers with 33 points on 11-of-20 shooting with 11 rebounds, seven assists and three blocked shots. J.J. Redick had 30 points with six rebounds and six assists off the bench. Robert Covington tallied 16 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Dario Saric accounted for 14 points, eight boards and five assists. Markelle Fultz had 13 points and six rebounds. T.J. McConnell added 10 points, eight assists and three rebounds as a reserve.
Bucks pull away in fourth quarter
Milwaukee outscored visiting New York 36-26 in the fourth quarter Monday night as it recorded a 124-113 victory over the Knicks. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 31 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots in the triumph. He shot 13-of-29 from the floor. Khris Middleton was red-hot shooting with 30 points as he was 11-of-14 from the field including 7-of-8 from 3-point distance. Eric Bledsoe had 16 points, 13 assists, four rebounds and two steals. Brook Lopez accounted for 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Malcolm Brogdon added 11 points, four boards and three assists.
NBA Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The Sixers are 0-5 ATS in their last five road games. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win by 10 or more points. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Milwaukee.
Prediction:
The Sixers are going to be a bit fatigued coming into this game and if they are without Simmons again, that makes life more difficult. Milwaukee looks like it will take another step forward this season and part of doing that will be taking down quality teams at home. Antetokounmpko is a matchup nightmare as well all know and I think he dominates here to send the Bucks to a fourth straight win.
