Are the Houston Rockets and host Sacramento Kings going to go over the total Wednesday night? Tip-off is at 10PM EST.

The Rockets are listed as a 7.5-point favorite on the spread, while the over-under is set at 218 points.

Houston is 1-0 on the season after a stunning 122-121 victory Tuesday night at Golden State in which it erased a 17-point deficit. Sacramento will be playing its regular season opener after going 32-50 last season. The Rockets swept all four meetings last year and covered the spread three times. The total went over three times.

The Rockets received a 27-point night from James Harden Tuesday as he also tallied 10 assists and six rebounds to lead the way to the comeback win. Chris Paul dished out 11 assists in his Houston debut, while Eric Gordon (24 points) and PJ Tucker (20 points) both excelled off the bench.

Sacramento is in rebuild mode after the trade of DeMarcus Cousins last season, using a first round draft pick on point guard De'Aaron Fox. The Kings also signed point guard George Hill plus veterans Zach Randolph and Vince Carter to provide some leadership in the locker room. Look for a pair of interior players in Willie Cauley-Stein (8.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg) and Skal Labissiere (8.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg) to emerge this season. 

The over is 5-1 in the last five meetings in Sacramento, while Houston is 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings.

Bet on Rockets vs. Kings

The Rockets made strides defensively with its offseason additions of Paul, Tucker and Luc Mbah a Moute. But it's still a team that uses ultra-quick offensive possessions, shoots a lot of 3-pointers and has Harden get to the free throw line with regularity. The Kings are a team that should struggle defensively this season, while the Rockets showed their style of play once again Tuesday night. Let's roll with the over.
