Bet on NBA Futures Odds

The Golden State Warriors have won the last two NBF Finals and three of the last four NBA Championships. Last season, the Warriors went just 58-24, but they had racked up at least 67 wins in the three seasons prior. That included 73 wins in the 2015-16 season.

The Warriors bring back the core of their squad as Kevin Durant signed a 2-year deal in the offseason worth $61.5 million. He joins the original Big 3 of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Between the four of them, they combined to average 84.9 points, 28.6 rebounds and 20 assists per game.

Along with the Big 4 remaining together, the Warriors were able to add DeMarcus Cousins in free agency. Cousins signed a 1-year deal worth just $5.3 million to join the Warriors. Cousins is coming off an Achilles injury and could miss some time to open the season, but will be a huge asset come the postseason if he stays healthy. Last season, Cousins played 48 games and averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds with the Pelicans. He also had 5.4 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. Cousins adds a force in the paint that the Warriors haven’t consistently had throughout this entire championship run.

Winning 63 games is not going to be easy but the Warriors seem built to do it. Last year, the team had a lot of injuries keep the group from playing together for long stretches. If this team stays healthy, 63 wins should be done. Motivation won’t be lacking as few franchises have won three straight and the addition of Cousins, who has yet to win a title, should keep the team hungry. Though the West is even more competitive now with the addition of LeBron James, I still like the Warriors to be the head of the class.
