Los Angeles Lakers DFS Spin
LeBron James hit 14-of-23 shots for a 30-10-11 triple-double in Tuesday's Game 3 loss to the Nuggets. LeBron did what he could tonight and Anthony Davis added 27 points, but just two rebounds and not much else as the Lakers fell to the Nuggets 114-106 to maintain a 2-1 lead over Denver. LeBron and AD both played well, but they got very little support from their teammates. They also had their fewest rebounds since 2006, finishing the game with just 25 of them, while the Nuggets had 44 boards. Davis' rebounding was shoddy, at best, but LeBron did it all tonight. It's hard to figure out which Lakers superstar is going to go off from night to night, but when those two don't get help from their mates, the Lakers struggle.
Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Nikola Jokic scored a team-high 30 points in a tough Game 2 loss vs. the Lakers on Sunday, finishing 9-of-20 from the field and 11-of-12 from the line in 39 minutes. The Nuggets' stars showed up tonight, with Jamal Murray adding 25 points, six boards, four assists, two steals, two blocks and two triples. Jokic didn't make a 3-pointer until very late in the fourth quarter, after not even attempting any in Game 1. Denver goes as Jokic goes, so they should be encouraged by his 3-point attempts (1-of-4), assists and ability to get to the line. They'll need all of that and more to avoid a 3-0 deficit on Tuesday.
Lakers vs. Nuggets Game 4 Betting Prediction
Not much has changed for me in this series, as I’ve backed Denver in two of the first three matchups and will continue to do so as long as the spread stays around six. The Lakers are just 10-21 against the spread in their last 31 meetings with the Nuggets and have now dropped five of their last seven conference finals games ATS with their loss and failed cover in Game 3 of this series. The Nuggets, meanwhile, are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall – all as an underdog – and are 5-0 against the number in their last five games playing on one day of rest. They’re also 8-1-1 at the betting window in their last 10 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.
