Raptors take Game 3

Toronto was able to roll past a short-handed Golden State team on Wednesday night, picking up a 123-109 victory. Toronto now has a 2-1 lead in the series. The Raptors are 72-31 on the season, 31-19 on the road, 50-53 against the spread and 53-47-3 with the over.

The Raptors had a great night from the field in Game 3, knocking down 17 3-pointers while shooting 43 of 82 from the field. All five starters scored at least 17 points. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Kyle Lowry added 23 points with nine assists while Pascal Siakam added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Warriors struggle without stars

Golden State fell in Game 3 at home with Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Kevon Looney all out of the lineup. The Warriors are now 70-31 on the season, 36-14 at home, 43-56-2 against the spread and 50-50-1 with the over/under total.

The Warriors were a mess in Game 3, going just 36 of 91 from the field and 12 of 36 from the arc. Stephen Curry did what he could, putting up 47 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. However, only three Warriors scored in double figures. Draymond Green had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Andre Iguodala had 11 points.

Prediction:

The good news for Golden State is that Klay Thompson is expected to play tonight, but the team is still without Durant and Thompson isn’t likely to be at 100 percent. Thompson’s hamstring will limit his movement and shooting. The offense was a mess on Wednesday night. Curry was the only real scoring option and I am not sure Thompson will be one tonight. Toronto is still a great defensive team. The Raptors shot exceptionally well on Wednesday, and I don’t see that happening tonight, but I think Toronto has the defense to get the job done.

NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors +4.5
