Memphis Grizzlies DFS Notes
Ja Morant hit 8-of-21 shots, 1-of-7 3-pointers and 6-of-8 free throws for a team-high 23 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and a steal in 43 minutes of Monday's 120-113 loss to the Jazz. The Jazz opened their biggest lead of the game at the end of the third quarter when Jaren Jackson Jr. missed a triple and Jordan Clarkson answered for the Jazz with one at the buzzer to push the score to 100-87. The Grizzlies fought back and cut it to three points in the fourth after De'Anthony Melton (15 points, three 3-pointers) got hot, but Memphis couldn't stop the Jazz from running away. Dillon Brooks and JJJ both scored 21 points in the loss and Jonas Valanciunas added 15 points, five boards and three 3-pointers. Game 5 is in Utah on Wednesday when the Jazz will look to put the Grizzlies away.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Donovan Mitchell hit just 8-of-22 shots, two 3-pointers and 12-of-13 free throws for 30 points, two rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block in Monday's 120-113 win over the Grizzlies to take a 3-1 lead in their first-round series. The Jazz basically put the series away with tonight's win although they'll still need to take one more game before it's officially over. The Grizzlies are pesky and aren't going away quietly, but the combination of Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley have staved off a solid performance by Memphis. Clarkson nearly outscored the Grizzlies' bench by himself with 24 points, six boards and four 3-pointers, although De'Anthony Melton got hot in the fourth quarter and the Memphis bench ended up with 30 points on the night. Gobert added 11 points, seven boards, a steal and a block despite scoring just one point in the first half, Conley finished with 11 points, seven dimes and three 3-pointers, and Bogdanovic had 13 points in the win. Game 5 is in Utah on Wednesday night when the Jazz will look to officially finish off the Grizzlies.
