Derrick Rose moved into the starting lineup for Game 3 vs. the Hawks, scoring 30 points (13-of-21 FGs) with six rebounds, five dimes, one steal and two triples in a 105-94 loss. This was his first playoff start since May of 2015, a move that was long overdue with how badly the Knicks would start games with Elfrid Payton running the offense. Just like Games 1 and 2, Rose was the best player for the Knicks in this one but didn’t have nearly enough help -- R.J. Barrett and Julius Randle combined for 21 points on 4-of-24 shooting. Rose has been logging heavy minutes these days after years of restrictions, so while the Knicks are playing with fire a bit, they don’t really have a choice with how well he’s played.

Atlanta Hawks DFS Notes

Trae Young led the Hawks to a Game 3 win over the Knicks on Friday with 21 points, 14 assists, one rebound and two triples. He had a 14/10 double-double by halftime, the first time in his career that he reached 10 dimes without a single turnover in a half. Atlanta fans have gotten used to their team dominating at home and tonight was no different, as they finished the season with the NBA's longest active home winning streak of 11 games. Trae has been the best player in this matchup by a country mile and will like his chances of making this a 3-1 series advantage for Game 4 on Sunday.

The Knicks are 18-7-1 against the spread in their last 26 games in Atlanta and are 7-2-1 against the number in their last 10 games versus the Hawks. They’re also 13-4 against the spread in their last 17 road games and are 11-4 at the betting window in tier last 15 games as an underdog.
