Philadelphia 76ers DFS Notes
Ben Simmons hit 11-of-15 shots for 22 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block as the Sixers beat the Wizards 120-95 to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series. Joel Embiid also had 22 points with seven boards, three assists and three 3-pointers on 8-of-12 shooting, and Tobias Harris came through with 19 points and nine rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting in the win. The Sixers lost Seth Curry to a sprained ankle in this one but can surely survive without him for two more games, while the Wizards lost Russell Westbrook to a right ankle sprain. If this series goes more than four games it would be very surprising, as the Sixers are simply the better team. Game 3 is set for Saturday at 7 p.m.
Washington Wizards DFS Notes
Russell Westbrook (ankle) did not practice on Friday and is questionable for Saturday's Game 3 vs. Philly. In the fourth quarter of Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Sixers, Westbrook injured his right ankle when he stepped on 76ers guard Furkan Korkmaz's foot. (As he limped off the court and headed back to the locker room, a fan seated near the player's entranceway dumped popcorn on Westbrook and the medical personnel escorting him. The Sixers announced Thursday the fan was banned from the arena indefinitely.) Westbrook got treatment on his ankle on Friday. Coach Scott Brooks told reporters: “We’ll see how [Westbook] feels tomorrow." Game 3 in the Wizards-Sixers series will take place Saturday in Washington.
