Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Deandre Ayton double-doubled to the tune of 22 points on 11-of-13 shooting, 10 rebounds, one assist and one turnover in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers. Ayton had his hands full with the Lakers front court trio of Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, and Marc Gasol, but he did his part to try to neutralize the trio. Ayton has been impressive for Phoenix over the first two games of this series as he is now averaging 21.5 points on 87.5 % shooting from the floor, to go along with 13.0 rebounds per contest. Those numbers would be impressive playing 2K, not to mention against arguably the best frontcourt in the NBA.
Los Angeles Lakers DFS Notes
Anthony Davis bounced back from Sunday's Game 1 performance with a loud 34 points (18-of-21 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks to propel the Lakers to a 109-102 victory in Tuesday's Game 2. Davis was the last person to leave the Phoenix Suns' arena after Sunday's Game 1 loss. He has made it a theme to bounce back after poor performances and he certainly did that on Tuesday. The biggest sign of this was his 21 free throw attempts, which shows his aggression and the intent to put pressure on the Suns' interior defense. The Lakers' frontline trio of Davis, Andre Drummond and Marc Gasol wore down the Suns’ interior, so much so that Montrezl Harrell did not log a single minute. Even though Gasol scored just six points in 20 minutes, he knocked down two triples and his ability to space the floor gives the Lakers some much-needed perimeter shooting around Davis and LeBron James.
