Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo played well in a big Game 2 win over the Heat on Monday, dropping a 31/13/6 line to go with three steals, one block and one triple in 31 minutes. If the game was ever close, Giannis could have put up some gaudy numbers, but the 31 minutes tonight were all they needed him for in the 34-point victory. Looking at these stats in Giannis’ section of the box score is more apt to make us yawn than drop our jaws, because the Greek Freak’s all-contributions are the norm on every given night, something that his fantasy owners from the last couple of years have been loving.
Miami Heat DFS Notes
Jimmy Butler had a brutal open to the 2021 NBA Playoff on Saturday, scoring 17 points (4-of-22 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs) with 10 rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 46 minutes during Miami's Game 1 loss to the Bucks. The Heat would not have been in overtime without Butler, as his layup as time expired pushed the game into an extra period. That being said, "Jimmy Buckets" had arguably the worst game of his postseason career. In addition to the poor shooting he was charged with six turnovers, and Bucks guard Jrue Holiday deserves some credit for this. Butler has proven on multiple occasions throughout his career that he has the mental strength needed to bounce back from poor efforts, and Miami will need him at his best if they're to even the series Monday night. Bam Adebayo also struggled, finishing with a line of nine points (4-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals in 41 minutes.
