Love ruled out for Game 7
Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love bumped heads with Boston small forward Jayson Tatum in Game 6 and did not return after playing only five minutes. He will not participate in tonight's Game 7. Love did not score in the five minutes on the floor, but he had already grabbed four rebounds. He is averaging 13.9 points per game and 10.0 rebounds during the postseason. LeBron James had another massive game in Love's absence, pooring in 46 points in 46 minutes. He shot 17-of-33 from the floor and hit 5-of-7 3-pointers in the 109-99 victory. James also notched 11 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and a blocked shot. George Hill added a playoff-high 20 points for the Cavs.
Rozier, Brown stellar in defeat
Celtics point guard Terry Rozier scored a team-high 28 points to go with seven assists, three boards and two steals in the loss. He shot 10-of-16 from the floor and made 5-of-9 3-point attempts. Jaylen Brown contributed 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting including 2-of-5 on 3-pointers, while pulling down three rebounds. Boston led 25-20 through one quarter, but were outscored 34-18 in the second quarter to go into the break down 54-43.
NBA Betting Trends
Cleveland
The Cavs are 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings in Boston. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Boston.
Boston
The Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a losing road record. Boston is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games following a straight up loss.
Prediction:
I have no argument whatsoever if you want to trust in LeBron. He's LeBron James after all. But a thin supporting cast is made much more noticeable with the absence of Love. Cleveland navigated through it for one game, but that was at home. Now Boston has a game plan, is playing on its home floor and has done well against Cleveland at TD Garden. I'm betting on Celtics head coach Brad Stevens and his squad here to advance to the NBA Finals.
