Celtics hold serve at home
The home team has won all five games in this series with Boston taking a 3-2 series lead Wednesday night with a 96-83 victory at TD Garden. The Celtics led 32-19 after one quarter of play and held on the rest of the way. Rookie Jayson Tatum put together another outstanding effort with a team-best 24 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocked shots. Jaylen Brown contributed 17 points, three rebounds and two assists. Al Horford had 15 points and 12 boards. Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart each scored 13 off the bench.
James, Love only two in double figures
Cleveland small forward LeBron James scored a game-high 26 points in Game 5, while adding 10 rebounds and five assists. He shot 11-of-22 from the floor. Power forward Kevin Love added 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting to go with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. No one else on the Cavs scored in double figures with small forward Jeff Green and shooting guard Jordan Clarkson both putting in eight off the bench. As a team, Cleveland shot only 31-of-74 from the floor including 9-of-34 from 3-point range.
