Thursday's NBA Daily Fantasy Picks
Piecing together the right six players for a successful NBA Daily Fantasy team hasn’t been easy in the Western Conference Finals. Here’s our picks for Game 5 of the Warriors and the Rockets tonight.
In a single game format on DraftKings, players get to selection six options at any position with a $50,000 budget. The winning total from Game 4 was around 204 points, which was lower for what this series has normally produced. Here’s our six picks for tonight’s game.
Rockets’ James Harden, $13,700: Harden has been shaky at times in these games, but still usually finds his way to a pretty productive total. He had 59 fantasy points in Game 1 of the series and 51.5 in Game 4. I think in this pivotal Game 5, Harden is going to have to take it on himself to make things happen for Houston.
Warriors’ Stephen Curry, $12,800: Is he or is he not hurt? Who really knows. Curry probably isn’t 100 percent, but he still has scored at least 43 fantasy points in three of the four games in this series. He got hot in each game at Golden State and I think he isn’t lacking in confidence in his shot heading back to Houston.
Rockets’ Chris Paul, $11,400: I will take both of the backcourt mates for Houston tonight as Paul has been consistently pushing for 40 fantasy points, where it be through scoring, rebounding or passing. With the series back to Houston, I think Paul will have his top game yet.
Rockets’ PJ Tucker, $6,700: Tucker continues to log big minutes for Houston and he pulled down 16 rebounds in Game 4. He has been hot and then cold from a fantasy perspective, so trends say he will be quiet tonight. However, his playing time and ability to score and rebound make me believe he can still break through tonight.
Warriors’ Shaun Livingston, $3,300: Livingston plays a good 15+ minutes a game right now and he has been able to score double digits in fantasy points in two of the games in this series. Livingston does a nice job when on the floor and can be a dark horse option if the game ends up getting out of hand, where he will then see more quality minutes late.
Warriors’ Jordan Bell, $1,900: Bell was given extended minutes in Game 4 due to the injuries and foul issues with Golden State. The Warriors are still dealing with some injury concerns and Bell looked good in his time on the floor on Tuesday. Given his cheap price, I think he can perform well above value tonight.
