Warriors rally to win Game 2
The Golden State Warriors are up 2-0 in the series thanks to a 114-111 win in Game 2. They trailed most of the game but rallied late to take the first two games of the series. Golden State has won four straight coming into tonight. The Warriors are 67-29 on the season, 31-16 on the road, 41-54-1 against the spread and 49-46-1 with the under.
The Warriors didn’t play all that well on offense, shooting just 9 of 29 from the arc, but they still shot 51 percent from the field. Stephen Curry ended up putting up 37 points on 11 of 22 shooting while adding in eight rebounds and eight assists. Klay Thompson added 24 points while Draymond Green had 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks.
Blazers need a win
Portland suffered a second straight loss in Game 2 on Thursday night. Despite the loss, the Blazers covered for the third time in four games. Portland is 61-35 on the season, 37-10 at home, 52-43-1 against the spread and 51-43-2 with the over.
The Blazers knocked down 18 3-pointers in the loss on Thursday. They held a 15-point lead at halftime that was erased in the third quarter. Damian Lillard finished with 23 points and 10 assists while CJ McCollum had 22 points with five assists. Portland got 16 points from Seth Curry off the bench.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 Saturday games, but 11-5 ATS in their last 16 conference final games.
Portland
The Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
The Blazers showed they can compete with Golden State in Game 2, but just lost sight of their defense. I think returning home will help them finish the job. The Warriors may not be able to shoot the ball well on the road. Curry was just 4 of 12 from the arc on Thursday, so if he is unable to find his shot from the outside tonight, I don’t see Golden State being able to take the 3-0 lead.
NBA Prediction: Portland Trail Blazers -2.5
