Donovan Mitchell (sprained right ankle) was re-evaluated by the team’s medical staff on Friday and he'll miss at least one more week. This is verbatim the same update we got for Mitchell last week. And the week before that. Utah is only making the vague assertion that he "continues to make progress towards a return," and fantasy GMs should resign themselves to the likelihood that he's done for the regular season. Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson continue to benefit from his absence with more minutes and touches to divvy up in the backcourt.
Golden State Warriors DFS Spin
Shooting 14-of-26 from the field and 10-of-10 from the foul line, Stephen Curry posted a line of 49 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and 11 3-pointers in 29 minutes Saturday vs. Oklahoma City. There are nights when it's almost comical what Curry can do to a defense. Needing 22 points to retake the NBA scoring lead over Bradley Beal (who scored 50 in a win over the Pacers), Curry scored 24 in the first quarter alone. For just the fourth time in his career, he had two quarters of 20 points or more in the same game. You just wonder what he could have done had Steve Kerr played the perennial All-Star in the fourth quarter. As a team Golden State set a franchise record for 3-pointers in a game, with Jordan Poole (16/2/1 with four 3-pointers) finishing second on the team behind Curry.
