Wednesday's NBA Daily Fantasy Picks
Wednesday night features just one NBA Playoff games. Here’s our breakdown of the Daily Fantasy options for Game 5 of the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics.
In a single game format on DraftKings, players get to selection six options at any position with a $50,000 budget. Here’s the six players we are using for the contest.
76ers’ Joel Embiid, $14,500: Embiid had a quite Game 4, with just 35.75 fantasy points. That was a big drop from the 50 or more he produced in Games 1-3. I think he gets back to the bigger numbers tonight. Boston has struggled with centers all year.
Celtics’ Al Horford, $11,600: Horford is putting up big fantasy numbers at home and he had 42.5 fantasy points in Game 7 against the Bucks at home. Despite this series being 3-1, this feels like Boston has some pressure tonight. Horford will have to be the one to step up for the Celtics.
Celtics’ Marcus Smart, $8,500: Smart gets plenty of minutes and he has been a defensive hound this series. That has led to multiple steals and blocks and also transition offense for his team. Smart is somewhat inconsistent with his offensive production, but he still has a high ceiling.
Celtics’ Marcus Morris, $6,500: Morris has been pretty consistent this series and improved his fantasy production with each game. He had 29.75 fantasy points in Game 4. He also is seeing more minutes as the series has progressed. If he stays out of foul trouble, I see him being very productive.
76ers’ T.J. McConnell, $5,200: McConnell really broke through in Game 4, posting 35.75 fantasy points. While you can’t expect the same result, his performance and 39 minutes on the floor should lead to more time than usual in Game 5. Look for 76ers to try and bottle up what he did on Monday and use it again tonight.
76ers’ Marco Belinelli, $3,700: Belinelli has put up at least 14 fantasy points in each game of this series, which isn’t great. However, he has a higher ceiling because he logs over 20 minutes per game. With cheap options, floor time is important. Belinelli is someone that could get hot or expose a matchup flaw and push for over 20 fantasy points. He had 22 in Game 3 and that would be a great value for his price tonight.
