76ers fall at home

Philadelphia was unable to take command of the series on Sunday at home, suffering a 101-96 loss to see the series even up at 2-2. The 76ers are 57-34 on the season, 23-22 on the road, 44-47 against the spread and 46-45 with the under.

The 76ers let themselves down offensively on Sunday, as they finished just 33 of 82 shooting and 12 of 38 from the arc. Joel Embiid was battling an illness that left him looking flat on the court. He was only 2 of 7 from the floor and finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Embiid is listed as questionable tonight, but it’s unclear just how impactful the illness is at this point. Jimmy Butler led Philly in the loss with 29 points and 11 rebounds.

Raptors bounce back

Toronto was able to bounce back from two straight losses on Sunday, earning the road win to give itself the home-court advantage in the series once again. Toronto is now 64-27 on the season, 35-11 at home, 43-48 against the spread and 45-43-3 with the over.

The Raptors weren’t overwhelming on offense either in Game 4, but played some pretty good defense. Toronto shot 35 of 76 from the field in the win and 10 of 31 from the arc. Kawhi Leonard continues to be a 1-man army for the Raptors. He had 39 points with 14 rebounds and five assists in the win. Pascal Siakam was a surprising suit up after being listed as doubtful coming into the game. He had just nine points on 2 of 10 shooting. Marc Gasol had 16 points with five rebounds.

Prediction:

This series has pretty much come down to Embiid. The 76ers have lost the two games where he has not been at full health. You could see he wasn’t himself in Game 4 and I can’t be certain he will be tonight. However, he acknowledge that this series is going to come down to him, so I expect him to give his all tonight. Leonard is going to do his damage, but he hasn’t gotten much help. It’s clear if Philly can put up a little over 100 points, they will win. The Raptors have scored 101 or less in the last three games. I just think Philly has too much talent to not cover, if not win, tonight’s big game.
