Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes
Luka Doncic hit 11-of-22 shots, three 3-pointers and 8-of-12 free throws for 33 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, a block and five turnovers in Monday’s easy 102-77 win over the Jazz to give Dallas a 3-2 lead in the series. Luka hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the third quarter to end the game and finished the third quarter with 19 points, while the entire Jazz team scored 19 in the quarter. Luka was also able to get some rest in the fourth quarter and the Mavs will be looking to close out the Jazz in Utah on Thursday night. If they’re unable to do so, the series will return to Dallas for a Game 7 on Saturday. Luka’s free throw shooting, 3-point shooting and turnovers weren’t all that impressive tonight, but we have a feeling people will mostly just remember him dominating this game from the opening tip and running the Jazz out of the gym.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Despite dealing with a quad injury, Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell said that he’ll be “ready to go” for Game 6 against the Mavericks on Thursday. Mitchell admitted that he was concerned when he thought the injury was hamstring-related, but he feels better knowing that the pain is only due to bruising. The bruising is in both of his legs, not just the left, and it really looked like he dodged a bullet with how he reacted to the injury in Game 5. Utah didn’t go through a full-blown practice today, but Spida didn’t have any limitations and participated in everything, so we’ll flip him to active unless we get bad news. It’s a must-win game for the Jazz, so look for Mitchell to give 110% in attempt to try and force a Game 7 in a first-round playoff series against the Mavs.
