Antetokounmpo comes up huge in Game 6

Bucks star small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo willed his team to a convincing 97-86 victory in Game 6 Thursday night versus the Celtics to force a Game 7. Antetokounmpo poured in 31 points to go with 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals in the triumph. The next-leading scorers for Milwaukee were Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon, both of whom had 16 points. For the series, Antetokounmpo is averaging 26.3 points to go with 9.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists. He is also recording 1.7 steals per. He could be the difference tonight if the Bucks hope to win this do-or-die game on the road.

Tatum realizing potential

Celtics rookie small forward Jayson Tatum went overlooked in the Rookie of the Year debate this year and for good reason since he has no chance against the likes of Sixers point guard Ben Simmons and Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell among others. But Tatum has been a solid contributor for Boston all season and has upped his game since Kyrie Irving was lost for the season following knee surgery. Tatum scored a team-best 22 points in Game 6, to up his scoring average for the series to 14.7. The balance and slow-tempo nature of the Celtics keeps Tatum from putting up huge numbers, but he has been a bright spot all season and will only continue to get better.

NBA Betting Trends

Milwaukee

The Bucks are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Milwaukee is 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings.

Boston

The over is 10-2-1 in the last 13 meetings in Boston. The Celtics are 4-0 ATS in the last four home games versus the Bucks.

Prediction:

Milwaukee has come up short in the first round three times with Antetokounmpo, so why can't this be the year that streak is snapped? He found a way to up his game and create better scoring opportunities for himself last game and I expect that to continue, even on the road. While Boston's defense is good, Antetokounmpo can dominate in any game as there simply isn't anyone in the NBA who matches up well with him. Go with the Bucks as they at least have a nice 4.5-point cushion if they lose straight up in a game that goes down to the wire.
