Wall almost notches triple-double
Washington point guard John Wall has proven in the first round series with the Raptors that he is fully recovered from the knee injury that cost him half the regular season. Wall had 26 points, nine assists and nine rebounds in a 108-98 loss in Game 5 at Toronto. It was a one-point game with five minutes left until the Raptors dominated down the stretch. Wall has scored between 23 and 29 points in each game this series, averaging 26.6 per. He is also compiling 12.2 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.4 blocks. Expect another big game from Wall tonight with the Wizards' season on the line.
Wright strong again off bench
With fellow backup guard Fred VanVleet missing all but three minutes this series with a shoulder injury, more was going to be put on the shoulders of Delon Wright to carry the reserves. Wright was outstanding again in Game 5 as he scored 18 points for the second time this series on 6-of-10 shooting, while also contributing five rebounds and two steals. He made both 3-pointers he attempted and is now 7-of-15 this series in that category. VanVleet is questionable for tonight's game, but regardless of his status Wright has carved out a defined role this series.
NBA Betting Trends
Toronto
The Raptors are 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games. Toronto is 1-7-1 ATS in its last nine games played on one day of rest.
Washington
The Wizards are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. The over is 4-0 in the last four Washington games following a straight up loss.
Prediction:
The home team has dominated all series, but I still believe there is room for one road victory and if it happens it will almost certainly be the Raptors here. Toronto was the Eastern Conference's best team and although its home numbers are far better, it is no slouch on the road either with a 25-18 straight up record. It's your choice whether to bet the Raptors on the moneyline or take the points.
