Spurs vs. Warriors Prediction
The San Antonio Spurs were able to avoid being swept on their home court against the Golden State Warriors in Game 4. With head coach Gregg Popovich still away from the team while he grieves the death of his wife, will San Antonio manage to cover the spread tonight as a double-digit underdog in another elimination game at Golden State?

Ginobili provides big boost off bench
San Antonio veteran shooting guard Manu Ginobili has turned back the clock seemingly for the past six or seven years and Game showed him in peak form as he helped guide the way to a 103-90 home win over the Warriors to keep the Spurs alive. Ginobili totaled 16 points, five assists and three boards over 25 minutes of action off the bench. He shot 5-of-10 from the floor, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. San Antonio, with Ginobili's help, outscored the Warriors 26-19 in the fourth quarter. Ginobili averaged 8.9 points per game during the regular season and came into the postseason in good form, recording back-to-back 17-point performances in the third and second-to-last regular season games.
Green nears triple-double in loss
Golden State power forward Draymond Green ripped down 18 rebounds in the Game 4 defeat, while finishing one point and one assist shy of a triple-double with nine in each category. Green has a history of being focused and at his best in big games, but he wasn't entirely sharp in this one as he shot only 4-of-14 from the field including 1-of-6 from 3-point range. He also committed five turnovers. Green is averaging 10 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists through four playoff games and will look to make an impact again tonight.
NBA Betting Trends
San Antonio
The Spurs are 0-9 ATS in their last nine road games. The over is 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings at Golden State.
Golden State
The over is 4-0-1 in the last five Warriors home games. Golden State is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
Prediction:
After not coming close to a win in the first three contests, the Spurs surprised us all by winning Game 4 decisively. They still don't have much trust from oddsmakers as they come into tonight's road game as a major underdog. While I suspect the Warriors will take this game very seriously as they don't want to go back to San Antonio, a 12-point spread against a good and well-coached team such as the Spurs is a big mountain to climp. I prefer to take San Antonio here as there are plenty of factors that should allow the visitors to keep it under the number.
