Blazers end win streak

Portland saw its 5-game win streak come to an end in Game 3 on Friday in a 120-108 loss to the Thunder. The loss also snapped a three-game cover streak for the Blazers. Portland is now 55-30 on the season, 21-21 on the road, 47-37-1 against the spread and 44-39-2 with the over.

The Blazers were definitely not as strong on offense on the road, as they committed 18 turnovers in the loss. They still shot respectably, going 39 of 83 from the field and 12 of 31 from the arc. Damian Lillard had another strong game with 32 points and six assists while C.J. McCollum had 21 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. Enes Kanter added 19 points and five rebounds.

OKC gets on the board

Oklahoma City broke out of its offensive slump in Game 3, putting up 120 points to pick up a win and cover. OKC is now 50-35 on the season, 28-14 at home, 43-42 against the spread and 43-41-1 with the under.

After being held under 100 points in the first two games of the series, OKC performed much better offensively in Game 3. As a team, they were 37 of 77 from the field and 15 of 29 from 3-point land. Even more impressive is that all 37 field goals were assisted. Russell Westbrook definitely stepped up, posting 33 points with 11 assists and five rebounds. Paul George added 22 points with six rebounds and six assists. Dennis Schroder added 17 points, six assists and five rebounds off the bench.

Prediction:

The home team has had the edge in most meetings this season and OKC is 3-0 straight up and against the spread at home against Portland this year. Westbrook put the Game 2 loss on himself and stepped up big on Friday. He also talked a fair amount of trash, so it will be on him again today. If the Thunder move the ball as they did on Friday, this game should be another win. The team shot very well from the arc and I think that can continue on their home floor. Lillard is a great player, but I think OKC is the better team when Westbrook is focused and playing to the best of his ability.
