Brooklyn Nets DFS Spin
DeAndre Jordan finished Friday's win vs. Charlotte with eight points, five rebounds and one block in 17 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge's retirement has presented Jordan with a path back into the starting lineup, where he's been the past two games. The bad news is that he'll alternate with Nicolas Claxton, Blake Griffin and Jeff Green based upon matchups, with coach Steve Nash saying it's "more matchup-based," so this is a value-killing timeshare. Jordan wasn't a standard-league fantasy option prior to the arrival of Aldridge and Griffin, so there's no reason to think he'll make a late surge.
Miami Heat DFS Spin
Jimmy Butler (sprained right ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. Brooklyn. It seems unlikely that Butler would miss this marquee matchup vs. the visiting Nets, but for now we'll take Miami's injury report at face value. Andre Iguodala is also questionable due to left hip soreness, and we should have updates for both guys after Miami's shootaround on Sunday afternoon.
Nets vs. Heat Betting Prediction
The Nets are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games versus the Heat and are 4-1-1 against the number in their last six games in Miami. The Nets have also covered four of their last five games overall and 11 of their last 15 on the road. On the other side, the Heat are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight home games, are 1-5 against the number in their last six games overall and are 2-5 at the betting window in their last seven games as a home dog.
NBA BETTING PREDICTION: BROOKLYN NETS -5.5
