Will the San Antonio Spurs hammer the Memphis Grizzlies when the two meet tonight at 9:30PM ET in Game 2 of their series?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Spurs are the clear favorite in tonight’s game, as they are getting odds of -11 points against the Grizzlies. The over/under total for the game is listed at 189 points.

The Spurs looked impressive in Game 1, beating the Grizzlies 111-82 at home to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The Spurs have now won three straight over Memphis, but the Grizzlies are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings. San Antonio is 62-21 overall, 32-10 at home and 42-39-2 against the spread. Memphis is 43-40 overall, 19-23 on the road and 41-42 against the spread.

San Antonio had one of its best games in weeks on Saturday in Game 1. The Spurs shot 41-of-77 from the field (53.2 percent) in the win, including 10-of-19 from 3-point land. The Grizzlies struggled shooting, going just 31-of-79 from the field and 7-of-20 from 3-point land. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with 32 points and five assists while LeMarcus Aldridge added 20 points and six rebounds. Marc Gasol led Memphis with 32 points and five rebounds.

I didn’t expect San Antonio to do what it did in Game 1 given their struggles down the stretch, but clearly the Spurs popped into playoff mode. Their offensive attack proved to be far too much for Memphis, which is a defensive-based team. The Spurs can also lockdown on defense, making it even tougher for Memphis to score. Look for more of the same today in Game 2, as San Antonio won’t have a letdown after a strong Game 1.
