Magic rolling

Orlando is the 7 seed in the East and the Magic are riding a four-game winning streak entering the playoffs. They have covered the spread in all four wins as well. The Magic are 42-40 on the season, 17-24 on the road, 45-36-1 against the spread and 44-38 with the under.

The Magic are one of the top defensive teams in the NBA, giving up just 106.6 points per game while holding opponents to 45.6 percent shooting from the field and 34.7 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, Orlando isn’t much to write home about. The Magic put up 107.3 points per game while shooting 45.4 percent as a team and 35.6 percent from the arc. Nikola Vucevic is leading the team with 20.8 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while Aaron Gordon is adding 16.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest.

Raptors playing well

Toronto is playing some pretty good basketball as of late, winning seven of their last eight games while covering the spread in six of their last seven games. The Raptors are now 58-24 on the season, 32-9 at home, 38-44 against the spread and 44-35-3 with the over.

The Raptors are pretty solid on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Toronto puts up 114.4 points per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from the arc. Defensively, Toronto is giving up 108.4 points per game while holding opponents to just 44.9 percent shooting as a team and 34.5 percent shooting from the arc. Kawhi Leonard is leading the team with 26.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while Pascal Siakam is adding 16.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Orlando

The Magic are 15-5-1 against the spread in their last 21 against Atlantic Division opponents and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a winning team.

Toronto

The Raptors are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six following a win.

Prediction:

These two split the four meetings this season, with Orlando going 3-1 against the spread. However, Toronto picked up a 121-109 win at home on April 1. The Raptors have been cautious with the roster for most of the season, trying to keep the team healthy for the playoffs. It seems to be working, as Toronto comes in playing some of its best basketball. While Orlando had a nice surge to end the season, the lack of scoring for the Magic is likely to be an issue. Orlando just doesn’t have the guard play to compete with the best in the NBA, Toronto included.

NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -8.5
