The field in the Eastern Conference is wide open for this year’s NBA Playoffs. Here’s a look at the odds to win the East in 2019.
According to the latest oddsmakers, the Milwaukee Bucks are the favorite in the East, as they have +150 odds. Other short odds to win are the Toronto Raptors (+225), the Boston Celtics (+400) and the Philadelphia 76ers (+400).
The Bucks have the top record in the NBA coming into the playoffs and they have the home-court advantage in the East. Milwaukee went 60-22 this season with a 33-8 record at home and a 27-14 record on the road. They also posted a 40-12 record in conference games. The Bucks will open the playoffs against the Detroit Pistons (+6600). They have won two conference titles in franchise history, last winning in 1974.
Toronto is the second seed in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors posted a 58-24 record with a 32-9 mark at home and a 26-15 record on the road. They were 36-16 in conference games. Toronto opens the playoffs by playing the Orlando Magic (+3300). The Raptors have never won the conference finals in franchise history.
Boston is the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference after putting up a 49-33 record this season. The Celtics were 28-13 at home and 21-20 on the road this year. They were 35-17 in conference games as well. Boston will face the Indiana Pacers (+2500) in the first round. The Celtics have won 21 conference titles in program history. The last came in 2010.
Philadelphia is the third seed in the East. The 76ers were 51-31 overall this season with a 31-10 record at home and a 20-21 record on the road. Their record in conference games were 31-21. Philly is set to face the Brooklyn Nets (+2500) in the first round. The 76ers have won nine conference titles in franchise history, last doing so in 2001.
