NBA Finals Odds: Rockets, Warriors co-favored entering playoffs 4/12/18

The playoff field is set in the NBA. Here’s a look at the latest odds to win the NBA Finals this year.

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets are currently 3/2 co-favorites to win the championship this season. Other short odds to win are the Cleveland Cavaliers (8/1) and the Toronto Raptors (12/1).

The Warriors are the defending NBA champs and they come into the playoffs as the second seed in the West after going 58-24 during the season. Golden State has had injury issues late in the year and could be without Stephen Curry for the first series because of a knee injury. The Warriors will face the San Antonio Spurs in the first round as they begin their quest for a sixth NBA Championship.

The Rockets had the top record in the NBA this season at 65-17. They will be the top seed in the West and will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the opening round of the playoffs. Houston won the NBA Finals in 1994 and 1995. They haven’t appeared in the Finals since.

Cleveland has reached the NBA Finals the last three years and comes into the 2018 playoffs as the fourth seed in the East. The Cavs went 50-32 this season and will face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. Cleveland won its first NBA Finals in 2016.

The Toronto Raptors earned the top seed in the East this season after posting a 59-23 record. Toronto is going to face the Washington Wizards in the opening round of the playoffs. The Raptors have never won the NBA Finals or the Eastern Conference.
