New Orleans Pelicans DFS Spin
Zion Williamson (right thumb) returned to action on Tuesday, notching 34 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 35 minutes of action. Zion was getting whatever he wanted against Atlanta, going 12-of-18 from the floor, 9-of-10 from the line, and even added a triple for good measure. With this gem, Zion ties Shaq for the most 20+ point games on at least 50% from the field since the shot clock era; tonight was his 25th occurrence of such a feat. The thumb injury obviously didn’t bother him, and he’ll look to make history against the Nets tomorrow.
Brooklyn Nets DFS Spin
Kevin Durant (strained left hamstring) is expected to return to the floor for Wednesday's game vs. the Pelicans. Finally. KD has been out for nearly two months, but he'll finally get back to the floor, although we won't get to see the Brooklyn trio of Kyrie Irving, KD and James Harden (hamstring), with Harden now expected to miss at least 10 days. Durant will likely have some restrictions upon his return, but he's a guy who will be worth activating even if he's only looking at minutes in the 20s. His return will be bad news for Jeff Green, and it'll be interesting to see how Nicolas Claxton's minutes are impacted.
Pelicans vs. Nets Betting Prediction
The over is 22-5 in the last 27 meetings between these two teams and is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings in Brooklyn. The over is 33-12 in the Pelicans’ last 45 games overall and has cashed in 10 of their last 14 games when playing the second game of a back-to-back. On the other side, the over has cashed in 13 of the Nets’ last 16 games when facing an opponent with a losing record and is 20-8 in their last 27 games playing on one day of rest.
