Donovan Mitchell hit just 6-of-23 shots and missed all eight of his 3-pointers for 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and nothing else in Monday's 111-103 loss at Dallas. Mitchell and Royce O'Neale combined to go 0-for-16 from beyond the arc and the Jazz, who are the league's second-best team from 3-point land (39.8 percent) hit just 12-of-44 (27 percent) tonight. Meanwhile, the Mavericks hit 23-of-49 (47 percent) triples and never trailed after the first four minutes of the game. The Jazz had their nine-game winning streak halted tonight in Dallas.

Phoenix Suns DFS Spin

The Rockets couldn't stop Devin Booker on Monday, as the Suns' star scored 36 points (11-of-20 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs) with six rebounds, six assists and a steal. He went 6-of-8 from deep and there wasn't much defense played by either team tonight, but to be fair to Houston nobody has contained Booker lately. He's hit 32+ points in four of the past five games, and it's not merely that he's getting hot from the field (which he is). Perhaps more sustainably, he's also putting pressure on defenses and getting to the line 8.2 times per game in that span. Booker's hot streak will soon be stress-tested with a back-to-back set looming vs. the Jazz (Wednesday) and Clippers (Thursday).

The Jazz are 20-8 against the spread in their last 28 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game and are 27-13 against the spread in their last 40 games as a favorite. On the other side, the Suns are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game.
