The Lakers are just buying time until they get their two superstars back, and Kuzma will continue to benefit immensely until that happens -- he's averaging 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.9 dimes, 0.6 steals and 2.5 triples over the last two weeks. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Paul George acknowledged that his right toe issue could linger for the remainder of the season, but his goal is to be able to play with "minimal pain." "We are trying to figure it out now," George said when asked about the lingering toe injury after he returned to the floor on Thursday. "Honestly, we're trying to get on top of it now. Hasn't seemed to go away yet. But at this point it is just managing the soreness and swelling. There really is no pop on the right foot, because I can't really bend my toe... if I can play and playing with minimal pain, that is what I am going for." George missed seven straight games in February with the toe issue, came back and played in 16 of his next 17, and then he missed another two games this week before returning last night. It doesn't sound like the issue is going away, but at least he's trying to fight through the pain. Back-to-back sets may be an issue moving forward, though.
