Detroit won a second straight game Saturday night with a 99-90 home victory over Portland to improve to 39-37 on the season. The Pistons trailed 14-11 after one quarter and 34-31 at halftime, but rebounded in the second half and led 66-59 through three quarters. Detroit shot 37-of-86 from the floor, 5-of-25 from 3-point distance plus 20-of-26 at the free throw line. Reggie Jackson paced Detroit with 28 points on 10-of-22 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point range plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds and five assists. Andre Drummond scored 22 points to go with 19 boards, four assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Langston Galloway added 12 points in 26 minutes off the bench.

Pacers drop third straight

Indiana continued its struggles with a 121-116 home defeat versus Orlando Saturday night to fall to 45-32 on the season and 28-10 at home. The Pacers were outscored 31-24 in the fourth quarter of the loss. Indiana shot 48-of-91 from the floor, 9-of-24 from 3-point range plus 11-of-17 at the free throw line. Darren Collison paced the Pacers with 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-4 at the free throw line. He also notched nine assists and three rebounds. NBA Betting Trends

Detroit

The Pistons are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four road games. Detroit is 18-7-1 ATS in its last 26 games overall.

Indiana

The Pacers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games versus the Central Division. Indiana is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games overall.

Prediction:

Detroit has been on a roll at home, but has also done well in covering spreads on the road lately. With Indiana playing subpar basketball, I like the Pistons' chances here to keep it close enough to cover the spread and perhaps even steal a victory. Detroit is heavily motivated given its standing in the playoff rance and understands it needs every victory it can get.
