505 New Orleans Pelicans at 506 Cleveland Cavaliers, 8PM ET
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Cavaliers are a 4-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 227 points.
Cleveland opened at -4 where the spread still remains, while the total has dropped after opening at 229.5. The spread is at -4 across the board, while the total seems to be at 227 through offshore books and at 227.5 in Las Vegas.
As of Friday afternoon, 73 percent of public bets are siding with the Cavaliers. Online wager info also shows that 59 percent of bets are being placed on the under.
INJURY TO WATCH
New Orleans point guard Rajon Rondo (wrist) is questionable for tonight's game. Point guard Frank Jackson (foot), center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) and center Alexis Ajinca (knee) are all out for the season. For the Cavs, center Kevin Love (brain injury) is questionable. Shooting guard Kyle Korver (personal) is out.
Cleveland has a lot to play for here as it tries to hold off Philadelphia for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, ensuring home-court advantage in the first round. But it's even more important for the Pelicans as they are currently the sixth seed in a crowded Western Conference playoff picture, but could easily slip out of the postseason entirely if they falter down the stretch. The Cavs have shown vulnerabilities all season and I believe a motivated New Orleans squad will take care of business on the road tonight.
