New Orleans Pelicans DFS Spin
Zion Williamson shot 13-of-20 from the field and 12-of-18 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Mavericks, accounting for 38 points, five rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes. Williamson may not be much of a perimeter shooter, but it really doesn’t matter when opposing defenders struggle to keep him from getting into the paint. The absence of Lonzo Ball has meant even more opportunities for Williamson to serve as a facilitator, and he’s had at least five assists in five of his last seven games. "This is a Shaquille O'Neal-type force of nature with a point guard skill-set,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said of Williamson after Saturday’s game. That description sounds about right.
Boston Celtics DFS Spin
Evan Fournier (health and safety protocols) is questionable vs. the Pelicans on Monday. Fournier missed Saturday's game due to the league's protocols, but it sounds like he could be available if he continues to test negative. He comes to Boston averaging 24.7 points, 4.3 triples, 3.0 dimes and 2.5 rebounds in March, but won't enjoy nearly that big of an offensive role for the Celtics. Even if his value inevitably declines, fantasy managers may want to see how his role develops before cutting him outright.
Pelicans vs. Celtics Betting Prediction
The Pelicans are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven trips to Boston and have failed to cover in seven of their last 10 games coming off an ATS win. New Orleans is also 4-11-2 at the betting window in its last 17 road games when facing an opponent like Boston that has a home winning percentage of greater than .600. And speaking of Boston, the Celtics are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall.
