Boston Celtics DFS Notes
The Celtics are finalizing a deal to acquire Evan Fournier from the Magic for a pair of second-round picks. The Magic just traded Nikola Vucevic for players and picks and they'll add to their draft-asset collection with this deal. It's a coup for a struggling Celtics team that's lacked wing depth behind their two All-Stars this season, and they used a massive trade exception to absorb Fournier's contract without sending back salary to the Magic -- likely why they got him at a seeming discount. However, the move spells trouble for Fournier from a fantasy perspective. He's scoring a career-high 19.7 points with 25.7% usage this season, in 30.3 minutes per game, numbers that will be hard to maintain with the Celtics. His departure affords some daylight for Magic rookie Chuma Okeke, as well as Dwayne Bacon, so it's not all bad for fantasy purposes.
Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) flirted with a triple-double in his return to action on Wednesday, tallying 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, one block and five turnovers across 33 minutes in a win over the Celtics. Giannis only missed one game with the minor knee issue, and his 33-minute workload would suggest he's fine, so we're expecting him to play in Friday's rematch. With The Greek Freak back in action, Pat Connaughton shifted back to the second unit where he finished with five points, six rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, one block and zero turnovers across 28 minutes.
