This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Rockets picking up steam
Houston is coming off a 113-90 win at New Orleans. The Rockets have won five of their last six while going 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five. Houston is currently in third in the West, 3.5 games out of first and just ½ a game over Portland for fourth. The Rockets are 47-27 on the season, 20-17 on the road, 34-37-3 against the spread and 37-36-1 with the under.
The Rockets rank both 11th in the NBA on offense and defense. They are putting up 113.1 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent. Defensively, the Rockets are giving up 109.7 points per game while opponents shoot 46.9 percent against them. Eric Gordon is questionable to play tonight with an ankle injury. James Harden is leading the team with 36.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. Clint Capela is adding 16.5 points and 12.6 rebounds per contest.
Bucks stay atop East
Milwaukee is coming off a 127-105 win over Cleveland on Sunday. The Bucks have won and covered in five of their last seven games. They are the top seed in the East by four games right now. Milwaukee is 55-19 on the season, 30-6 at home, 44-27-3 against the spread and 38-36 with the under.
The Bucks have the league’s top offense, averaging 117.5 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent as a team. They also lead the league in rebounding with 49.4 per game. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 108.1 points per game while holding opponents to a league-low 43.2 percent shooting. The team is a little beat up as Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic and Malcolm Brogdon are all out right now with injuries. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the team with 27.4 points, 12.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while Khris Middleton is adding 17.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
The Rockets are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win.
The Bucks have covered in five of their last six home games and in six straight Tuesday games.
The injuries haven’t hurt the Bucks too much as of late, with Middleton really stepping up over the last week. However, Milwaukee did lose the only game against a top team over the last few weeks, Philadelphia, and that was at home. The Rockets haven’t played many great teams lately either, but were competitive with the Warriors in their last featured game. I think the Rockets are going to take advantage of the depth concerns for Milwaukee right now and keep this game close. It should be a great game, but I will take my chances on the Rockets with the points.
NBA Prediction: Houston Rockets +3.5
