Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the 76ers are 2-point favorites to beat the Magic. The total, meanwhile, sits at 219 points and as of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the 76ers to cover the point spread.

Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin

Tobias Harris struggled with his shot on Saturday, making just 6-of-17 attempts for 13 points to go with nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes against Atlanta. Harris has struggled around the rim the last few games, missing some shots he normally makes. He's been productive with the 76ers, but you can still see him trying to figure out of he fits into the offense from time to time, which is to be expected. He only has three games next week, which hurts, but Harris is still a very good option.

Orlando Magic Fantasy Spin

Evan Fournier scored 27 points with eight rebounds, six assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday. It worked out better this time against Memphis after his goose egg against them on Mar. 10. Since then, his scoring has increased in every game with his minutes consistently being around 30. Fournier's been better in the past couple months compared to his slow start, but he's still be a bit of a letdown. The Magic are off for the rest of the week, so Fournier isn't exactly a must-hold player for owners absolutely needing games on Saturday or Sunday.

NBA Betting Trends

Philadelphia

The 76ers are 6-15 against the spread in their last 21 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous contest.

Orlando

The Magic are just 5-12 at the betting window in their last 17 games when playing on two days of rest.

Prediction

The Sixers have had good success in this series, covering in six of their last eight trips to Orlando and in six of their previous eight games versus the Magic overall. That said, Orlando has been difficult to beat at home and the Magic have covered the number in eight of their previous 11 games at Amway Center. They’re also 12-3-1 against the spread in their last 16 games versus the Atlantic. On the other side, the Sixers are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a losing record and have failed to cover in all four of their previous four games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
