Nets vs. Trail Blazers Prediction
The Trail Blazers will attempt to put together a perfect four-game homestand when they host the Nets on Monday. Laying six points as a home favorite, is Portland a safe play to cover against visiting Brooklyn?

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Trail Blazers are 6-point favorites to beat the Nets. The total, meanwhile, sits at 224.5 points and as of this writing, 67% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Trail Blazers to cover the point spread.
Brooklyn Nets Fantasy Spin
D'Angelo Russell scored 21 points in a 111-106 win over the Lakers on Frida, adding two rebounds, 13 assists, three steals, six turnovers and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes. Revenge is sweet as D-Lo helps lead the Nets to a big road win to officially knock the Lakers out of playoff contention. It would've been tough for Russell to match his career-high 44 point output from Tuesday, but he still comes through with a strong line. Coach Kenny Atkinson said last weekend that Russell was hitting a wall on offense and he wanted him to have a more balanced attack. That's led D-Lo to be the first Net with 20-plus points and 10-plus dimes in three straight Kenny Anderson in 1993-94. It's been a magical ride for one of the NBA's most improved players.
Portland Trail Blazers Fantasy Spin
C.J. McCollum (left knee) will not play vs. the Nets on Monday. That's not much of an injury update, but it's all we have to go on. Damian Lillard said last week that he expects to finish the season without McCollum, but the Blazers haven't offered a clear timetable. He was due to be re-evaluated around Mar. 26, so we should know more in the next few days.
NBA Betting Trends
Brooklyn
The Nets are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 road games versus a team with a winning home record.
Portland
The Trail Blazers are 23-8-1 at the betting window in their last 32 games versus Eastern Conference foes.
Prediction
The favorite in this series has cashed in seven of the previous 10 meetings and with how good Portland has been at home, I won’t fade the Blazers tonight. They’re 39-19-1 against the spread in their last 59 games played at the Moda Center. That’s incredible. They’re also 7-2-1 against the spread in their last 10 games versus an opponent with a winning record and are 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 games coming off a win. Speaking of that opponent, the Nets have shrunk in games against the top teams in the NBA. They’re just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games versus opponents with a win percentage above .600.
Monday NBA Prediction: Portland Trail Blazers -6
