According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook YouWager, the 76ers are 7.5-point home favorites to knock off the Timberwolves, while the over/under for tonight's game currently sits at 223 points.
Philadelphia opened as 6-point home favorites but the line has climbed to 7.5 at the majority of online sportsbooks. As for the total, it hit the board at 222 but was bet up a full point to 223.
As of this writing, 56% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Timberwolves to cover the point spread tonight. Meanwhile, 68% of the betting tickets are on the over.
KEY INJURY TO WATCH
The biggest injury is Jimmy Butler, who remains out with a knee injury and has not played since late February for the Timberwolves. On the other side, Markelle Fultz has been out with a shoulder injury since the end of October.
The Sixers thrive off playing against losing opponents, especially at home. In their last 11 home games when facing an opponent with a losing record, the 76ers are 10-1 against the spread. They're also 12-3 at the betting window in their last 15 home games, are 49-21-1 against the number in their last 71 games against Western Conference competition and are 55-26-2 ATS in their last 83 games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous contest.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have only covered the point spread once in their last seven games versus the Sixers and are just 2-5 at the betting window in their last seven games in Philadelphia. They have also failed to cover in four of their last five road games and are just 5-12 at the betting window in their last 17 games overall.
