Miami Heat Fantasy Spin
Dwyane Wade's farewell tour continued Wednesday with nine points on 4-of-12 shooting, two rebounds and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes at San Antonio. When asked about Wade's workload recently, coach Erik Spoelstra replied, "You know, what are we saving him for? We have 3 1/2 weeks left in the regular season. We’ve load-managed him all season long. Let’s just go for it. He wants to play. I want him to play. We need him." Spoelstra isn't just offering lip service, either, and Wade was on the court at the end of an impressive 110-105 road win tonight. He's a low-end source of dimes and defensive stats, but only if you can stomach some bad shooting lines.
Milwaukee Bucks Fantasy Spin
Giannis Antetokounmpo (sprained right ankle) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Heat. This is an upgrade from his previous 'questionable' tag, and it sounds like we'll have him back after a two-game absence -- hopefully we'll know for certain after shootaround. Coach Mike Budenholzer stressed that the team was simply being cautious with the MVP candidate, so we're not expecting any limitations if he's active. Tony Snell will go back to irrelevance off the bench, and Khris Middleton won't be quite as involved in every play.
NBA Betting Trends
Miami
The Heat are 43-15-2 against the spread in their last 60 road games when facing a team with a winning home record.
Milwaukee
The Bucks have covered the spread in 20 of their previous 27 games coming off an ATS loss.
Prediction
The Heat enter play tonight banged-up, with Justise Winslow (thigh) listed as doubtful, Bam Adebayo (right hip bruise) questionable and Rodney McGruder (knee) also unlikely to play, but Miami is too hot to fade. The Heat are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall and have covered in 20 of their previous 27 on the road. They’ve also been profitable in this series, covering the spread in six of their previous eight meetings with the Bucks.
