Nicolas Batum came off the bench on Monday and hit 4-of-6 shots (all 3-pointers) for 12 points, seven rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes of a 109-99 win over the Mavericks. Marcus Morris got the start against a team he had his way with in the playoffs last season so it remains to be seen if the the move is permanent. Batum had scored in single digits in his previous three games, hitting just 8-of-23 shots, so maybe the move helped to motivate him. He's a borderline player to roster in standard leagues right now, but with so many young studs emerging, you can probably find a more exciting player to grab off your waiver wire than Batum.
Dallas Mavericks DFS Spin
Luka Doncic hit 9-of-23 shots, 4-of-11 3-pointers and 3-of-4 free throws for 25 points, 10 rebounds, 16 assists, two steals and seven turnovers in 38 minutes of Monday's 109-99 loss to the Clippers. It was his ninth triple-double of the season and 34th of his career. In a continuing trend, Luka appears to be becoming increasingly frustrated with officials in nearly every game and seems to be arguing more than most other players. And it's probably not a coincidence that officials aren't giving him many borderline continuation calls, calling them on the floor instead and taking away scoring opportunities from him in the process. He's probably going to have to think about dialing it back a bit unless he simply doesn't care about having a relationship with the officials. Regardless of his relationship with officials, Luka is the 27th ranked fantasy player this season, despite his free throw, turnover and shooting woes at times.
