Timberwolves vs. Rockets Prediction
The Houston Rockets have won nine of their last 10 games, but they also own a losing record at the betting window during that stretch. Listed as a home favorite Sunday night against the visiting Timberwolves, should bettors stay away from the Rockets tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Rockets are 6-point favorites to beat the Timberwolves. The total, meanwhile, sits at 225.5 points and as of this writing, 76% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Rockets to cover the point spread.
Minnesota Timberwolves Fantasy Spin
Derrick Rose (right elbow) is questionable for Sunday against the Rockets. He "did some things" in practice on Saturday. Rose has been out for the last two games with right elbow soreness, and not his lingering ankle issue that has kept his minutes limited. With Jeff Teague (foot) possibly out for a while, Rose could see more time running the offense. Either way, Tyus Jones has to be owned in all standard leagues.
Houston Rockets Fantasy Spin
James Harden (cervical strain) is questionable for Sunday against the Wolves. This is the same issue that limited Harden and kept him out against the Warriors -- he was also sick that day, too. Harden sure didn't look to be limited on Friday with a 41-point explosion against the Suns, but coach Mike D'Antoni also hinted that his guys could see rest in some spots. We should get another update on Sunday.
NBA Betting Trends
Minnesota
The Timberwolves are winless against the spread in their last six games when their opponent scored 100 points or more in its previous contest.
Houston
The Rockets are 22-45-2 at the betting window in their last 69 games when facing an opponent with a losing record.
Prediction
Even with Harden questionable I still like the over in this matchup. In the past 24 meetings between these two teams, the over is 18-6. The over is also 17-5 in the Timberwolves’ last 22 road games and cashed in 29 of their previous 40 games overall. The over is also 13-3 in Minnesota’s last 16 road games versus an opponent with a winning record at home and cashed in six of its previous eight conference games. On the other side, the over is 10-2 in the Rockets’ last 12 games when facing an opponent with a losing record.
Sunday NBA Prediction: Timberwolves/Rockets over 225.5
