The Heat are chasing a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but suffered a setback on Friday when they blew an 18-point lead in a loss to the Bucks. Will Miami rebound on Sunday when they host the Charlotte Hornets at 1:00 p.m. ET?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Hornets are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Heat. The total, meanwhile, sits at 213 points and as of this writing, 75% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Heat to cover the point spread.
Charlotte Hornets Fantasy Spin
Cody Zeller (left knee soreness) is doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Heat. Zeller has missed two straight games, and is trending towards a third. Willy Hernangomez started in place of Zeller on Monday, but was then slapped with a DNP-CD on Friday. Bismack Biyombo started at center on Friday. Biz and Willy will likely divvy up minutes on Sunday, but neither player is trustworthy.
Miami Heat Fantasy Spin
Justise Winslow (thigh bruise) is questionable for Sunday against the Hornets. He took a shot to his thigh on Friday night and went to the locker room, but he was able to return in what was a great game with 20 points. Thigh bruises can be tricky with guys like Andrew Wiggins missing time because of that, so we'll have to wait for an update tomorrow. If he's out, there could be more minutes for Goran Dragic, Dion Waiters and Rodney McGruder.
NBA Betting Trends
Charlotte
The Hornets are 1-5-1 at the betting window in their last seven games when playing on one day of rest.
Miami
The Heat failed to cover the spread in 17 of their previous 25 home games when they faced an opponent with a losing road record.
Prediction
I faded the Hornets when they were only a 3-point road dog a few nights ago in Washington and they bit me when they cruised to a win and a cover versus the Wizards. Even though Charlotte is struggling, I’m not going to try my hand again with the Hornets. Instead, I like the over, which has hit in four of Charlotte’s last five road games and is 6-1 in the Hornets’ last seven games when they’re coming off a win. On the other side, the over is 9-3 in the Heat’s last 12 games playing on one day of rest.
