Will the Celtics cover as a big road favorite tonight when they visit the Nets at 7:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Celtics are 9-point road favorites versus the Nets while the over/under currently sits at 219.5, down from 223.

Boston enters play tonight having won six of its last 10 games and is 6-4 against the spread during that same stretch as well. The Celtics have been solid at the betting window this season, going 35-31 against the spread overall, and are 21-13 against the number on the road.

Brooklyn has dropped six of its last 10 games entering play tonight but is 7-3 against the spread during that span. The Nets are just 31-33 against the number overall, however, which includes a 13-20 ATS mark at home this year.

OUR PREDICTION: The Celtics are 4-1 against the spread in their last five trips to Brooklyn and the road team is a perfect 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings between these two teams. Boston is also 5-2 against the spread in its last seven games playing on one day of rest while Brooklyn is just 3-13 against the number in its last 16 home games. Nine is a big number, but the Celtics have been a fantastic road team this year and the Nets have struggled at home, so I'm willing to roll the dice.
