Julius Randle hit 13-of-27 shots and three 3-pointers for 33 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three steals in Monday's tough 117-112 loss to the Nets. This one had a wild finish when Joe Harris tried to get fouled holding the ball and up three with 7.7 seconds left, but the Knicks actually stole the ball out of his hands and won the challenge after the play was reviewed. Then the Knicks won the jump ball and had a chance to tie it with a 3-pointer, but Randle was called for an up-and-down violation. Replays showed Kyrie Irving get a piece of the ball on the way up so it was likely the wrong call. The Nets went on to another win and Randle lost his mind, trying to go after the referee and tossing a chair on his way to the locker room. A one-game suspension for not leaving the court in a timely matter is certainly in play, but hopefully he gets away with a fine. Stay tuned.

Ben Simmons (COVID-protocols) recorded 14 points (6-of-9 FG, 2-of-5 FT), four rebounds, nine dimes, one steal and three turnovers across 26 minutes in Sunday's blowout win over the Spurs. Simmons was back in action today after missing the past two games due to health and safety protocols, and he’ll be looked to carry a larger offensive load over the coming weeks while Joel Embiid (knee) is sidelined. With Simmons back in the mix, Matisse Thybulle shifted back to the second unit where he finished with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and zero turnovers in 17 minutes.
