Ja Morant recorded a stat line of 22 points (7-of-15 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), one rebound, seven assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes during Sunday’s loss to the Thunder. After shooting 5-of-16 from the field and turning the ball over five times in Friday’s loss to the Nuggets, Morant was a bit better Sunday afternoon. The improvement wasn’t enough to get the win, but the second-year point guard has now scored 20 or more in four of his last five games. Fantasy-wise this season has been a bit of a disappointment for Morant, who still sits well outside of the top-100 in 9-cat formats. Taking better care of the basketball is the requirement if he’s to change that, as Morant is averaging 3.4 per game on the season.

Phoenix Suns DFS Spin

Deandre Ayton double-doubled on Saturday with 14 points and 12 rebounds (four offensive) in 29 minutes vs. the visiting Pacers. Ayton filled out his line with two blocks, one assist and one steal. He made 7-of-10 field goals but was 0-of-2 at the line, and coach Monty Williams kept him on the bench down the stretch tonight with Dario Saric playing center. The obstacles for Ayton's fantasy value include paltry blocks (1.1), steals (0.3) and assists (1.6), and even a lack of 3-point range. It doesn't help that Ayton's 19.1% usage is lower than guys like P.J. Washington, Serge Ibaka and Thaddeus Young.
