New Orleans opened at the 5.5-point mark it is at now, while the total has gone up slightly after opening at 223.5. Offshore sportsbooks have the Pelicans as at -5.5, while in Las Vegas the spread can be found at -5. The total is set at either 223.5 or 224 depending where you look.

INJURY TO WATCH

Pelicans small forward Solomon Hill is out until mid-March as he recovers from a hamstring injury. For the Kings, Willie Cauley-Stein will be out again with a back strain. Skal Labissiere is questionable with a sore right knee.

New Orleans had a grueling fast-paced game last night where it had to put forth a ton of effort in order to earn a 121-116 victory at the Clippers. It was the ninth win in a row for the Pelicans and they have covered the spread in eight of the contests. Tonight is a classic letdown opportunity with a fatigued New Orleans squad taking on a Kings squad that has remained at home with two full days of rest. We all know the Pelicans are the better team here and Cauley-Stein being out won't help matters, but the circumstances say this will be a prime opportunity for Sacrament to cover the spread and maybe even pull off the straight up upset. Keep in mind that the Kings are already 2-0 versus New Orleans this season, winning 116-109 in overtime on Dec. 8 and 114-103 on Jan. 30. Both of those games were played in New Orleans. Can Sacramento make it 3-0 tonight? It's very possible.
