76ers vs. Bulls Spread Prediction

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls, 3/6/19 Predictions & Odds

Even without the services of Joel Embiid, the 76ers continue to rack up wins. Likely without Embiid again on Wednesday night, will the Sixers take care of business in Chicago by not only beating the Bulls but also covering the spread for bettors?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the 76ers are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Bulls. The total, meanwhile, sits at 226.5 points and as of this writing, 79% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the 76ers to cover the point spread.

Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin

Tobias Harris had 21 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer on 8-of-15 shooting in 34 minutes of Tuesday's 114-106 win over the Magic. He's been playing well when Joel Embiid is in the lineup, so it only figures that he'll really go off on nights when Embiid's not playing. That's been the case over his last seven games (Embiid played in three of those), as Harris has scored at least 20 points in all of them, and he's averaging 24.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.0 blocks and 2.8 3-pointers on 52 percent shooting over his last five. There were fears that he'd lose a lot of value after being shipped to Philly, but that hasn't really been the case. At all.

Chicago Bulls Fantasy Spin

Zach LaVine hit 10-of-22 shots and 5-of-7 free throws for 27 points in a loss to the Pacers on Tuesday. He got off to a painfully slow start with his first field goal dropping with five minutes to go in the second quarter, but did turn on the jets late. LaVine added three assists, two rebounds and two triples, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls' 5-game winning streak with Otto Porter active came to an end. LaVine has been unstoppable lately with top-25 value over the past month and his fantasy owners are just hoping he stays healthy because the NBA can get pretty wild this time of year for tanking teams.

NBA Betting Trends

Philadelphia

The 76ers are 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage below .400.

Chicago

The Bulls are 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600.

Prediction

The Bulls had been a good ATS team over the past week and a half before playing the Pacers last night in Indiana. Chicago came back down to earth in a straight-up and ATS loss and I will be fading the Bulls again tonight. They’re just 7-19 against the spread in their last 26 home games and are playing a confident Sixers team that has played well despite not having Embiid in uniform. Philly has won each of the last three meetings between these two teams and while I don’t think they’ll roll to an easy win and cover, I do like the Sixers to handle their business.

Wednesday NBA Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers -5.5
