Nuggets vs. Lakers Spread Prediction
The Lakers’ season seemed to have hit its nadir on Monday night when they lost to the Clippers, which was their seventh defeat in their last 10 games. Has the written demise of the Lakers presented bettors with an opportunity to cash on LeBron as an underdog tonight when L.A. hosts the Nuggets at 10:30 p.m. ET?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Nuggets are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Lakers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 222.5 points and as of this writing, 76% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Nuggets to cover the point spread.
Denver Nuggets Fantasy Spin
Jamal Murray scored a game-high 25 points in a 104-103 loss to the Spurs on Monday, hitting 8-of-19 shots and 3-of-3 free throws. He did all his damage in 28 minutes, racking up eight assists, two rebounds, one steal, six triples and four turnovers. Murray has battled through a variety of injuries this season, but he's healthy and on fire right now with 20+ points in four straight games with 15 3-pointers in that span. He'll get a date vs. the reeling Lakers on Wednesday, a team that he's averaging 21.0 points across two contests this season.
Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin
LeBron James said that despite the Lakers' fading playoff chances, he does not plan to sit out any games. Following Monday's bitterly disappointing loss to the Clippers, the Lakers are now 4.5 games out of the eighth seed. As a result, there has been some speculation that L.A. may choose to shut down King James in order to reduce the wear-and-tear on the 34-year old's body. However, speaking with reporters after Monday's game, LeBron refuted those rumors. "That would take a lot of convincing from Luke [Walton] on up," said James. "Unless I'm hurt, I'm not sitting games."
NBA Betting Trends
The Nuggets are 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 road games versus a team with a winning home record.
The Lakers are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
All of the negative press surrounding the Lakers following their loss to the Clippers has created some value in L.A. tonight. This point spread is too high. With all the attention on LeBron and Co., nobody is talking about the Nuggets dropping three straight games, which includes an eight-point loss to the Pelicans as a 13.5-point favorite where they blew a 19-point lead. The Nuggets are 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games versus the Lakers while the home team is a perfect 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams. The Lakers might very well be done in terms of the playoffs, but I’ll gladly take the points tonight in a classic value spot.
