LeBron James said that despite the Lakers' fading playoff chances, he does not plan to sit out any games. Following Monday's bitterly disappointing loss to the Clippers, the Lakers are now 4.5 games out of the eighth seed. As a result, there has been some speculation that L.A. may choose to shut down King James in order to reduce the wear-and-tear on the 34-year old's body. However, speaking with reporters after Monday's game, LeBron refuted those rumors. "That would take a lot of convincing from Luke [Walton] on up," said James. "Unless I'm hurt, I'm not sitting games."

All of the negative press surrounding the Lakers following their loss to the Clippers has created some value in L.A. tonight. This point spread is too high. With all the attention on LeBron and Co., nobody is talking about the Nuggets dropping three straight games, which includes an eight-point loss to the Pelicans as a 13.5-point favorite where they blew a 19-point lead. The Nuggets are 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games versus the Lakers while the home team is a perfect 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams. The Lakers might very well be done in terms of the playoffs, but I’ll gladly take the points tonight in a classic value spot.
