Denver opened as a 4.5-point favorite before the line was bumped up a point, while the total has dropped after opening at 218. The spread is at -5.5 everywhere I've looked, while the total is set at either 216.5 or 217 at various books.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Tuesday afternoon, 81 percent of public bets have sided with the visiting Nuggets. Online wager info also shows that 55 percent of bets are coming in on the under.

INJURY TO WATCH

Nuggets shooting guard Torrey Craig is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury. For the Mavericks, shooting guard Wesley Matthews is questionable tonight with a left hip injury.

BETTING STRATEGY

Dallas won the first meeting this season back on Dec. 4 as it rolled 122-105 on its home floor. Denver rebounded with a pair of home wins in the series, prevailing 105 102 on Jan. 16 and 91-89 on Jan. 27. It seems as though the Mavs provide a tough matchup for the Nuggets as they have covered the spread each time. But Denver is a better team now with Paul Millsap healthy and everyone else playing at a high level. I don't see Dallas having any answer for Nikola Jokic inside and much of the Nuggets offense should flow through him as there is not a better center at finding open teammates. I like Denver to solve Dallas tonight and cover the spread.
