Houston Rockets Fantasy Spin
James Harden fouled out of Sunday's game with 42 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block. This was only the eighth time in Harden's career that he fouled out of a game. He finished 14-of-31 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line, with six 3-pointers, and has propelled the Rockets to five straight victories. They're within half a game of the No. 4 seed Thunder, and closing fast.
Toronto Raptors Fantasy Spin
Kyle Lowry looked fine after slipping during Sunday's game, finishing with a season-high 35 points, seven rebounds, five assists, six 3-pointers and one steal in 42 minutes. Lowry had help getting to his feet after an awkward spill, but clearly it didn't seem to bother him. We'll leave him off the injury report. "I see a twinkle in [Lowry's] eye a little bit," coach Nick Nurse said recently. "I think the [Marc] Gasol thing is just unbelievable, the synergy that they have and the plays they can create for each other." Lowry certainly sounds like he loves playing with Gasol. "Just give [Gasol] the ball and ... make the cut," Lowry said. "To be honest with you, it's kind of easy." The emerging Gasol-Lowry connection can only be a good thing, since it should produce easy buckets for K-Low -- tonight is Exhibit A.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The Rockets are 0-9 against the spread in their last nine games coming off an ATS win.
Toronto
The Raptors are just 1-6 at the betting window in their last seven games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in its previous contest.
Prediction
The Raptors lost on Sunday in Detroit but the Pistons have been one of the hotter teams in the league and Kawhi Leonard (load management) did not play. The Rockets, meanwhile, were impressive in Boston over the weekend but the Celtics have been a dysfunctional mess (the Raptors also throttled Kyrie Irving and Co. last week at home). Houston is just 2-9 against the spread in its last 11 games in Toronto while the home team is 16-6-1 against the number in the previous 23 meetings between these two teams. The Rockets are also 6-13-1 against the spread in their last 20 games overall and have been terrible ATS coming off wins, posting a 3-12-1 record at the betting window in their last 16 games following a victory.
Tuesday NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -3.5
